DMC-TZ7

This site is all about the DMC-TZ7 from Panasonic.

A camera with a compact format and a large zoom range like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 certainly serves ease. The ease of carrying it along and shooting subjects from either large or close-up distances without having to put any effort in at all, appeals to a large part of 'photographers'. And why not? It is a different way of shooting, but that does not make it less interesting. The DMC-TZ7 is a camera packed with handy features that aim at the easy-going photographer who wants to be able to make the best quality picture or video clip with the least possible effort.

If you want to get going with the DMC-TZ7 right away; just turn the command dial to iA. And then it is simply a matter of zooming in, making the right composition and pressing the shutter release; what more do you want? It's that simple. Zooming is quite accurate; from 25mm to 300mm is carried out in 36 precise stops. Framing the subject is a piece of cake. To zoom from wide-angle directly to telephoto takes approximately three seconds. The zoom lever around the shutter release button has a swift response and has quite a long rotation which I personally like a lot.

Panasonic TZ7

“The Panasonic TZ7 or ZS3 as known in North America remains a great choice, updating the compelling pocket super-zoom concept with the latest features. In short, one of the best compacts on the market just got better, and as such we can easily award Panasonic the Lumix TZ7 / ZS3 our Highly Recommended rating.”

" I’ve had a lot of compact digital cameras. And I use them constantly- my contact camera is ALWAYS in my purse. Typically I take lots of photos of people, landscapes and food with it. I bought this camera shortly before a safari in Tanzania, drawn by the 12X zoom and HD video taking from the Panasonic TZ7. I also brought a D80 with an 18-200mm lens and a D90 with 80-400mm lens. I wanted to use this little Panasonic TZ7 camera for quick shots, people shots, and movie taking. I am so pleased with this camera. Image quality is on par with the Canon cameras I have, most recently the Canon 870IS. And the videos are awesome- above and beyond the quality of the Canon. Highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants a powerful camera in a small body.
